Site work and paving for an educational facility in Skokie, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade educational facility.

A. The Project consists of the construction of a new traffic signal, roadwork, and sitework improvements at Niles West High School for Niles Township High School District 219, hereafter called the Owner, and is to be constructed in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by Studio GC, dated October 16, 2025. B. Scope: The Work includes the work of all trades required; and all the labor, materials, and equipment necessary and incidental to the construction and completion of the Work. C. Work to be executed under one General Contract, including all trades. Question Deadline 10/31/2025 Submit requests for interpretation of the documents in writing to the Architect. Inquiries received five or more days prior to the date fixed for opening of the Bids will be given consideration. Sealed bids are requested for roadwork and traffic signal construction at Gross Point Road and Niles West. Lump sum bid proposals must be submitted with a bid guarantee, in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or bank draft, equal to at least 10% of the bid payable to Niles Township High School District #219. Successful bidders will provide a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond for the full contract amount, both acceptable to the owner. Bids must be delivered in an opaque sealed envelope clearly marked as a sealed bid and addressed appropriately. Each bidder must satisfactorily complete the qualification process as outlined in Section 004395 - General Requirements of the Project Manual and must submit all required qualification documents together with the sealed bid. These documents will be publicly available for review and will be evaluated by the owner and architect to determine the lowest responsible bidder. Bidding documents, including drawings and project manuals, are available electronically at the bidder's expense. A mandatory pre-bid meeting walk-through for general contractors is required. After the meeting, all contractors must visit the site to view the area of work and gather any additional information. There is only one scheduled walk-through, and attendance will be taken; failure to attend may be grounds for bid rejection. Subcontractors are encouraged but not required to attend. The contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or parts thereof, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days without the owner's consent. Checks or drafts from unsuccessful bidders will be returned as soon as practical after the bid opening and review.
