SCOPE OF PROJECT: The project consists of approximately 31,750 SY of 8" flex base installation along 2 miles of Pioneer Road, with a seal coat on top. 3 culvert crossings ranging in size from: 24" RCP, 8'x3' RCBC, and a 10- 8'x4' culvert crossing. Ditch grading on both the eastern and western sides of the road will be proposed. 2 alternative bid options for installing asphalt will be given with this project as well. The road is to be improved to a 27-foot width with flex base improvements and a seal coat layer on top throughout the project, with alternative options to add an asphalt surface. The City of New Fairview, Texas, will receive sealed bids for the referenced project which involves ditch grading, culvert installation, and base preparation of Pioneer Road. Bidders must submit their bids in person to 999 Illinois Street, New Fairview, Texas 76078 by 2 PM on October 31, 2025. Contractors can request bid documents from the city engineer. A 5% bid bond is required, and performance, payment, and maintenance bonds will be required as well. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
