Renovation of a mixed-use development in Baltimore, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
512-26-1-444-0006, 512-25-052 The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision required to complete the LR Building 6 Boiler Replacement Project at the VA Maryland Health Care System, Loch Raven Campus. Work includes removing the existing Weil McClain Water Tube Boiler rated at 209 MBH from the Building 6 mechanical room and properly disposing of it, with disposal receipts submitted to the VA. A new CSD-1 compliant boiler, sized to match the existing unit, will be installed on the current equipment pad. Existing utility lines should be utilized for tie-ins where feasible, except for the vent line, which must be replaced with PVC per NBCI code due to deterioration of the atmospheric metal duct. The contractor will confirm tie-in feasibility and vent line replacement during the pre-bid walkthrough and make minor modifications as needed to fit the new boiler. Installation must follow the boiler manufacturer's instructions and comply with all local, state, federal, and VA specifications and guidelines. Materials must meet ICRA safety requirements. The contractor will provide warranty and start-up services to ensure proper operation of the new boiler. All work must be completed within 30 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
