This project proposes to provide upgrades to the following locations to maintain their reliability and integrity and help assure the continued safety of the traveling public. 1. Southern State Parkway westbound over Sagtikos State Parkway northbound in the Town of Islip, Suffolk County 2. Sagtikos State Parkway southbound to Southern State Parkway eastbound over Southern State Parkway westbound in the Town of Islip, Suffolk County 3. Sagtikos State Parkway southbound to Southern State Parkway eastbound over Southern State Parkway northbound in the Town of Islip, Suffolk County. NYSDOT Region: 10 Long Island The current status of the project is Future Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Spring 2030. Construction is expected to begin in Summer 2030. Construction is expected to be completed in Spring 2031. As of October 18, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2030. NYDOT : Bridge Rehab Contract *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
