The purpose of this bid is to provide maintenance and labor costs for landscaping, irrigation, arborist, ornamental shrub/tree/vine services and on the current and future flower beds at library locations listed in this document. Maintenance services for all locations are to follow the Maintenance Program Schedule listed on page 10 of this BID document. Irrigation services include programming/replacing/testing control box and repairs/replacement any and all parts associated with irrigation lines and will be billed at an hourly rate. The library will provide any and all materials needed to repair or replace irrigation systems. There are a number of trees of various varieties to be maintained. Among the varieties of plants & trees are: Pear, Magnolia, Spruce Pine, Live Oak, Lirlope, Palms, Dwarf Azalea, Red Oak, Azaleas, Indian Hawthorne, Crepe Myrtles, Berch, Carissa Holly, Drake Elm, Bald Cypress and others. The scope of work includes: Seasonal Color Beds- Bed preparation will be performed prior to each seasonal color rotation, which shall be at a minimum of twice per year. Beds will be maintained on a regular basis to insure the full impact of the planting. Weed control, insect and disease control, pruning or pinching is to be included. Replacement plants and bedding material will be rotated on an as needed basis after approval from the agency. This will be completed with plants being charged as a discount rate.
