Sealed bids are requested for supplying all labor and materials necessary for performing landscaping, irrigation, and lighting controls for site beautification at multiple Head Start Centers. The locations include Oak Forest Head Start & Early Head Start Center, Eulander P. Kendrick Early Head Start Center, Mary C Jones Head Start, Westside Head Start Center, Richard Brandon Head Start Center, Gertrude Ellis Head Start Center, Della Caugills Early Head Start, Edwards Head Start & Early Head Start, Holy Ghost Early Head Start, Martin Head Start, Midtown Head Start, and St Thomas Head Start. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and possess a Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a certified bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid amount from a surety company licensed in Mississippi and signed by an agent resident in Mississippi. Bidders must comply with Executive Order Numbers 11246 and 11375 prohibiting discrimination, as well as Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, and the Davis-Bacon Act. Certification of prior work under Executive Order 11246 is required. The contract will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder, with the right reserved to reject any and all bids.
