Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; golf course; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Southgate Recreation & Park District ("District") is inviting informal bids for this Project. The scope of work consists, in general, of furnishing all permits, materials, labor, services, tools, plants, supplies, equipment, management and superintendence necessary. Tasks associated with this work include, but are not limited to, the following 1. Site demolition. 2. Clearing, grubbing, and small tree removal. 3. Rough and finish grading. 4. Installation of conduits, pull boxes, and grounding system for future electrical and shade structure improvements. Wire, panel upgrades, and conduit that enters the mechanical room from the exterior will be installed as part of a separate project. 5. Installation of minor landscape drain. Concrete flatwork, stamped concrete flatwork, concrete curb and gutter, and concrete curbing. 7. Concrete footings, reinforcement, anchor bolts, grounding system, and conduit sweeps for future shade shelter installation. Concrete paving adjacent to footings will be "blocked out" for future shade structure installation. Shade structure installation will be part of a separate project. 8. Asphalt paving. 9. Accessible parking signage, striping, truncated dome panels, and concrete wheel stops. 10. Coordination with District staff regarding demolition and removal of irrigation system equipment and piping. District staff will repair and adjust irrigation system. 11. District to contract with a special testing and inspection agency for the project for geotechnical inspections and County-required special inspections. 12. For reference only: the current lead time for the future shade structure is 12-16 weeks from purchase date. You may visit the site during normal business hours. In connection with the performance of this Agreement, full compliance with all applicable safety and health standards and with all applicable laws and regulations concerning Equal Employment Opportunity and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be required. District herby notifies all Bidders that it is the policy of the District to ensure non-discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin in the award and administration of contracts that it awards. Bidders and their proposed subcontractors shall hold such licenses as may be required by the laws of the State of California for the performance of the work specified in the Contract Documents. The Contractor will also be required to ensure that all subcontractors working on this project are holding valid licenses suitable for their trade. Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1771.1(a), a contractor or subcontractor shall not engage in the performance of any public works contract unless currently registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and are qualified to perform public work. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in the county, or counties, in which the work is to be done have been determined by the Director of the California DIR. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, the successful Bidder may submit certain securities in lieu of District withholding retention of payments during the Project. For Projects over $25,000, Contractor shall, at their expense, furnish Payment Bonds, in amounts not less than 100% of the Bid. Contractor shall, at its expense, procure and maintain insurance on all of its operations, in companies admitted and qualified in California, having a minimum A.M. Best rating of A-VII, and acceptable to District, and satisfying all requirements of the District's Agreement. Contract Documents include Agreement, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, Prevailing Wages, Insurance Requirements, Bid (as supplied by Bidder), and Contract Bonds. Sample District documents are available upon request. The District intends to award the Agreement to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder on the Base Bid. To the extent allowed by law, District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding procedure. District specifically reserves the right to not award the Agreement after the opening of bids.
