A firm timeline for the award date and construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The State University of New York at Stony Brook (herein after referred to as "SUNY") is soliciting qualifications from consultants to provide design and engineering services for the upgrade of the East Plant unit substation and associated electrical equipment. The existing low voltage (LV) switchgear, as part of the secondary unit-substation, in the East Plant at Stony Brook University, provides power to the heating systems as well as other loads such as the emergency generator rooms, utility tunnel exhaust fans, and East Campus street lighting. The switchgear is a double-ended, main-tiemain unit substation operating at 13.8kV primary and 480V secondary, at Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, New York in accordance with SUNY at Stony Brook RFQ 25/26-058MC and Exhibits. Any questions pertaining to this RFQ must be submitted through the online, on the Q&A board on or before 12:00 pm, October 29, 2025. Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 16% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 14% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
