Demolition and site work for a multi-residential development in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a one-story above grade multi-residential development.
The work consists of asbestos abatement, demolition, and site clearance of multiple residential structures in the City of New Kensington. Bidders must submit a certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond with each bid, amounting to ten percent (10%) of the estimated cost of demolition and site clearance. The successful bidder will be required to provide and pay for performance, payment, and maintenance bonds. The project is a Section 3 project under the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and is regulated under Executive Order 11246 regarding Equal Employment Opportunity, with applicable contract specifications. Prime contractors should solicit proposals from minority, women, and Section 3 business enterprises using the appropriate directories. The project is funded with federal and state funds, and all related requirements are included in the bid documents. The authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or parts thereof and to waive informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for up to ninety (90) days for review and investigation before awarding the contract.
