Site work and paving for a road / highway in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The contract is for a street improvement project involving approximately 24,100 square yards of asphalt milling and the installation of approximately 1,960 tons of asphalt wearing coarse, 1,620 tons of asphalt binder, and related appurtenances. Bids must be submitted using the provided forms and follow all instructions. Only documents obtained directly from the engineer are valid. A certified check or bid bond equal to 10% of the bid must be included. The successful bidder must provide performance, labor and materials payment, and maintenance bonds. Bids may be held for up to 60 days for review. All bids must be clearly marked with the contract number and name. Contractors must ensure non-discrimination in employment. Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates apply to the project. Question Deadline 05/27/2026 No interpretations of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to Alpha Engineering Co., Inc. 2668 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA. 15068 - Anthony J. Males, P.E. and to be given consideration must be received at least five days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
