The project is expected to be awarded on December 3rd, 2025** The work consists of the removal of concrete and paver sidewalks, and the installation of white and colored concrete sidewalk, new handicap curb ramps, and new shade trees, located on the north side of the Boulevard from N19th Street to N22nd Street and on the south of the Boulevard between S20th Street and S23rd Street in the Borough of Kenilworth, Union County, New Jersey. Instructions to bidders require submission of a security deposit of not less than 10% of the bid, not to exceed $20,000, in the form of a certified check or standard bid bond, and compliance with relevant New Jersey statutes and regulations, including affirmative action, prevailing wage, and contractor registration requirements. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond for 100% of the contract. Each bid must include a non-collusion affidavit, a certificate of prequalification, an affidavit as to the total amount of uncompleted contracts, and a Public Works Contractor Registration Act certificate with the State of New Jersey. All bids shall remain irrevocable for sixty days, and the awarding body reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, or award contracts in a manner deemed in the best interest of the borough, in conformity with the law. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
