Renovation of an educational facility in Paso Robles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 9,440-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.

The contract is for the construction and modernization of Georgia Brown Dual Immersion, Modernization Phase 3. Bids must be sealed and filed at the designated location prior to the bid opening. The contract will be awarded based on the lowest responsible and responsive base bid. Priority is given to completion of Classroom Buildings by July 31, followed by Restroom, Play Structure, and interior hardscape by October 23. The contract time is 245 calendar days, with liquidated damages for delay. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required for all bidders. Detailed project plans, specifications, and addenda are available to official plan holders from the designated reprographics supplier. Official plan holders are notified of addenda, which are provided electronically (with the option to purchase hard copies). Pre-qualification requirements: Bidders must be prequalified pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6. MEP subcontractors with C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 licenses must have current pre-qualified status with the Owner. Bidders must submit a prequalification application at least ten business days prior to bid opening via the Owner’s third-party platform. All contractors must be prequalified to bid. For projects over $25,000, contractors and subcontractors must be currently registered and qualified under Labor Code section 1725.5 to perform public work, with registration numbers included for each subcontractor performing more than 0.5% of the total bid. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid site visit is required for qualification. Compliance with Department of Industrial Relations requirements is mandated for public works projects over $25,000. Bidders not attending the pre-bid site visit will be disqualified.
