Construct the Glen Speck Elementary School Modernization Project as per the contract documents, including the drawings and specifications. The project scope includes all work specified for the modernization of Glen Speck Elementary School. Instructions to bidders: Bids must be sealed and filed at Paso Robles Joint Unified School District, Board Room, 800 Niblick Road, Paso Robles, CA 93446 before the specified deadline. No bid will be accepted after this time. Facsimile (FAX) bids will not be accepted. Bids must be accompanied by a bidder's bond, cashier's check, or certified check for at least ten percent (10%) of the base bid amount. Successful bidders must furnish a Payment Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum. Contractors may substitute securities or establish an escrow in lieu of retainage. Only contractors licensed in the State of California with a Class "B" license at the time of award may bid. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required. Public works projects are subject to prevailing wage and compliance monitoring requirements. Pre-qualification requirements: This contract is subject to prequalification pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6. Bidders and MEP subcontractors listed for work requiring specific licenses must have current pre-qualified status with the Owner. The prequalification application must be submitted to the Owner's third-party platform at least ten business days prior to bid opening. All contractors must be deemed pre-qualified to bid at least five business days prior to bid opening. For projects over $25,000, contractors and subcontractors must be registered and qualified under Labor Code section 1725.5, and the registration number must be provided for subcontractors performing more than 0.5% of the bid.
