Renovation of a mixed-use development in Poway, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The class(es) of California contractor's license(s) required in order to bid on and perform the contract for this project is: CSLB Class B Contractor License (with a CSLB Class C-61/D24 Metal Products Contractor License) OR CSLB Class C-61/D24 Metal Products Contractor License. Each bidder shall also have no less than five (5) years' experience in the magnitude and character of the work bid. Includes all labor, material, and equipment for removal, disposal, procurement, and installation of replacement gutters at Mesa Verde Middle School and Poway High School, all in accordance with the Project and Site Specifications. Poway High School: Remove and replace ~650 linear feet of gutter system on Building H and Building B. Includes 8 sheet metal outlets and under-soffit horizontal downspouts connecting to cast iron drainpipes. Mesa Verde Middle School: Remove ~770 linear feet of existing gutters and install ~815 linear feet of new gutters. Includes 3 new galvanized steel pipe downspouts and connections to existing PVC downspouts. PREVAILING WAGES: Pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR"). No bid will be accepted, nor any contract entered into without proof of the contractor's and subcontractors' current registration with the DIR to perform public work. If awarded a contract, the bidder, and its subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registration with the DIR for the duration of the project. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. In bidding on this project, it shall be the bidder's sole responsibility to evaluate and include the cost of complying with all labor compliance requirements under this contract and applicable law in its bid. Wage rates can be found at the California Department of Industrial Relations website at Online. Each bid must be submitted with security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if awarded to the bidder, and will provide the performance and payment bonds, insurance certificates and other documents described in the contract documents. Such security must be in one of the following forms: (1) a cashier's check made payable to the district; (2) a certified check made payable to the district; or (3) a bond made payable to the district in the form set forth in the contract documents. Any bond must have been issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a separate payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount. The forms of the bonds are set forth in the contract documents and all bonds must be issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. The district reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
