The City of Hutchinson, through the Hutchinson Zoo, a division of the Parks and Facilities Department, is requesting proposals from professional consultants to assist the city with exhibit design services for the Train Loop at the Hutchinson Zoo. The Zoo is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and an attraction for the City and the surrounding area. Through the Zoo's wildlife rehabilitation program, the City also serves the community by caring for orphaned and injured wildlife. The Zoo is committed to involving the community in preparing capital investments in facilities over the next 10-15 years. The design team will work closely with City Administration, Zoo staff, representatives from the FOTZ board, and community stakeholders to provide key deliverables for the Master Plan Phase 1 Project: Train Upgrades and Animal Habitat Expansion.which includes construction and design services. The City of Hutchinson, through the Hutchinson Zoo, a division of the Parks and Facilities Department, is requesting proposals for the planning and design of the Zoo's Master Plan Phase 1: Train Loop and Animal Habitat Expansion. Professional consulting services shall include documentation of existing conditions, schematic design, design development, assistance with cost estimates, and stamped construction documents. The City desires to begin this project in early 2026 with a completion date for construction documents on or before May 31, 2026.
