Renovation of a recreation facility in Montrose, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility.

Montrose County is accepting sealed proposals from qualified firms or individuals for water ingress mitigation of the Montrose County Event Question Deadline 11/05/2025 at 5:00 PM MT RFP questions must be submitted via e-mail to: Chad Black, mail to: cnblack@montrosecounty.net. Late questions will not be accepted. The Board of County Commissioners may award the contract to the vendor based on the evaluation criteria outlined in the Request for Proposals. In reviewing the proposals received, the County reserves the right to reject, for any reason whatsoever, any and all proposals, and to waive any informality or irregularity in a proposal. The award of contract may be based on the complete proposal or any component thereof. Remedy water ingress into the building using best industry practices and procedures in a way that guarantees the stoppage of the water entering the facility into the meeting rooms and kitchen. General The awarded Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary to complete the scope of work. This scope of work is for a complete job with all appurtenances fully installed and operable on a "turn-key" basis. The Contractor shall provide and install any other necessary material, equipment, or appurtenances of any kind necessary for a complete, functional, event venue specified herein. All work performed under this agreement shall be in accordance with generally accepted, building practices, and to the satisfaction of Montrose County, the State of Colorado, the Federal Government, and any other agencies or approval authorities having jurisdiction. All applicable codes shall be complied with as well as health and safety laws, rules and regulations. The Contractor shall become familiar with the Event Center, and all readily available information about the site, and shall make as many site inspections as necessary to thoroughly understand the project. Any additional site visits, beyond the mandatory pre-bid meeting, shall be pre-arranged and scheduled through the individuals specified in Section III and are to take place during normal business hours (Monday - Friday from 8AM-5PM) without disrupting daily business operations. The Contractor shall arrange any necessary inspections for the work, including any required by governmental agencies or other agencies having jurisdiction The County reserves the right to negotiate with any finalists to maximize the value of the proposal to the County. The County reserves the right to reject all bids. The action to award a contract is subject to approval by the Board of County Commissioners. General requirements for Event Center Meeting Room Roof Repair shall include, but not be limited to, the following: A. Guaranteed stoppage of water ingress into the facilities meeting rooms. B. Guarantee that all work will cure the problem or that warranty work will be available until 24 months after completion date. C. Work to be done weather permitting upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed to Spring 2026. D. Any alterations or damage done to the facility must be fixed to County's satisfaction prior to the completion of the project E. Contractor shall block of all work areas and assure those areas are cordoned off from the public during the entire project F. Contractor shall work with Event Center staff to accommodate event schedule and to minimize the downtime of the facility. G. All proposals shall include an itemized list of associated costs The submission of a proposal by any vendor does not in any way commit the County to enter into an agreement with that vendor.
