The work consists of furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary to install approximately 5,150 linear feet of 12-inch C-900 PVC watermain on Highway 80 from Joiner Road to Cromley Road. Installation methods will include open cut and directional bore. Additional work includes pavement replacement, sediment control, traffic control, and grassing. The work is to be completed within ninety calendar days in accordance with the plans and specifications. The contractor is required to be licensed as a "Utility Contractor" in the State of Georgia and to employ a "Utility Manager" certification holder for oversight. Bid bonds or cashiers checks are required in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. Performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract price, are required for the successful bidder. All iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials must be produced in the United States in compliance with the Build America, Buy America Act. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
