Question Deadline 03/12/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Questions received less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The work consists of furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary for gravity sewer installation, including 5,209 linear feet of 18-inch PVC using the open cut installation method, 15 manholes, 100 linear feet of 18-inch jack and bore in 24-inch casing, removing and replacing asphalt, erosion control, grassing, and miscellaneous construction work. The time allotted for completion is one hundred fifty calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The contractor performing the work must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a Utility Contractor and must employ a Utility Manager certification holder for oversight. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, are required of the successful bidder. Each bond must be accompanied by a Power of Attorney authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Contractor shall comply with E-Verify regulations.
