Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a municipal facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Design plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; for the construction of a 60,000-square-foot municipal facility; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Plans call for demolition of the Public Works building, the City Hall Annex, and an additional building behind City Hall, the renovation of the existing City Hall for historical purposes, and the construction of a new municipal office to act as the new City Hall. As of April 7, 2026, the project is in design. The project is expected to bid out publicly to general contractors, but a bidding timeline has not been disclosed. Bidding information is expected to be released in the fall of 2026. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2027 and be completed in the spring of 2029. *The closed solicitation has been provided below for reference: Sealed proposals are requested for Engineering/Design Services for a Municipal Building Project. Proposals must be submitted in a clearly marked sealed envelope to the Procurement Manager's Office at City Hall Annex, 1017 College Street, Bowling Green, Kentucky. The sealed proposal must have the bid number and description listed, and the shipping envelope must also display the bid number clearly. Proposals must be received by the designated date and time, and late proposals will not be considered. All forms, information, and specifications can be found at www.bgky.org/bids. Respondents are invited to attend the public opening of the submitted proposals via a specified online meeting link. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to select the proposal deemed to be in its best interest. The award will be made on the basis of the best evaluated offer.
