Site work for a water / sewer project in Altavista, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed Bids will be received for the implementation of Town of Altavista Frazier Road Drainage project. Work consists of the installation of storm drainage improvements and construction of 2300 linear feet of 8" DIP watermain and associated appurtenances along Frazier Road in the Town of Altavista, Virginia. One-half of the deposit will be refunded to each document holder of record who returns a complete set of Bidding Documents in good condition within 10 days after opening of Bids. Withdrawal of Bids due to error shall be in accordance with Virginia Code Section 2.2 4330 B. 1. Should the apparent low Bid exceed available funds, the Owner reserves the right to negotiate with the apparent low bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds. Bidders shall comply with Virginia Code Section 54.1-1112 regarding information required with Bid. Envelopes containing Bids shall be clearly marked with the Bidder's contractor license number. Bidders certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. The Town of Altavista encourages MBE/WBE & SBE contractors bid this project, and all contractors shall take affirmative steps to assure that small, minority, and women's businesses are used when possible as sources of supplies, equipment, construction, and services.
