Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Kentwood, Louisiana. Working plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
The project is for the construction of a new, state-of-the-art concession stand at the North Tangi 1051 community park. The facility must include a storage area and separate men's and women's restrooms, and it must be ADA compliant to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities. Qualified vendors are sought who have a proven track record with similar construction projects. Bidders must submit sealed proposals detailing equipment designs, specifications, and costs according to the provided guidelines. Proposals must be plainly marked with the company name and solicitation number, and three sealed, hard copies must be submitted by the specified deadline. Late, faxed, or electronically submitted responses will not be accepted. The Town of Kentwood reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Town Council has the ultimate authority to approve any proposal and to authorize execution of the negotiated Agreement. All questions related to this proposal must be submitted in writing, no later than 4:00pm local time on October 29, 2025. Questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted to fo@kentwoodla.org Consideration of Proposals November 7 - 20, 2025 o Town Board Approval December 4, 2025 Construction Specifications o The building construction will be on a handicap accessible concrete slab. The exterior walls shall be constructed using 8 x 16 cinder blocks to a height of 9 feet. The interior will be constructed using standard framing material. The building will have 3 partition walls creating 4 separate rooms. The roof will be constructed with standard framing material. The roof covering will have 26-guage galvalume mental panels, trim and associated hardware. The overhang will be 3 feet from the outermost portion of the exterior walls. There will also be a 4-inch x 9-feet x 22-feet concrete pad located along the front of the building. o Room 1 (Concession Stand) o The Concession Stand will have a 36-inch steel inswing door located on the right exterior wall. It will also be 6-foot, and a 10-foot counter with selves below. There will be a 3060-metal sliding window with locks. The electrical service panel will be located in this room unless otherwise directed. o Room 2 (Storage Room) o The Storage Room will have a 6-foot double outswing steel door located on the front exterior wall. o Room 3 (Men's Restroom) o The Men's Restroom will have 2 (two) stainless steel toilets with 1 being handicap accessible, 2 (two) stainless steel urinals (1(one) will be a stainless-steel trough), 2(two) stainless-steel commercial grade wall mounted sinks, 1 (one) unbreakable mirror and partition dividers. The entry door located on the front wall will be a left-hand outswing steel door. o Room 4 (Women's Restroom) o The Women's Restroom will have 4 (four) stainless steel toilets with 1 (one) handicap accessible, 2 (two) stainless steel commercial grade wall mounted sinks, 1 (one) unbreakable mirror and partition dividers. The entry door located on the front wall will be a right-hand outswing steel door.
