Remodeling of a fire / police facility in Marlin, Texas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade fire / police facility.
Project includes updating the Police Department to provide safe and clean facilities to conduct police business, both internally and to serve the public, by removing old carpet, leveling the floors with vinyl plank flooring, and painting the walls. The city also seeks to purchase a variety of furniture to more securely house documents and equipment in office. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are available for review at 101 Fortune St, Marlin, TX. Copies may be obtained from the City upon payment of a non-refundable $50 fee per set, plus $20 for shipping and handling if mailed. Fees represent reproduction costs and are non-refundable. Checks may be processed electronically. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid from an acceptable surety must be submitted with each bid for contracts exceeding $100,000. A certified check, bank draft payable to the City of Marlin, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted instead of a bid bond. The project will be financed with assistance from the U.S. Department of Treasury under the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF/ARPA) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. The federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate must be paid. The successful bidder must ensure no discrimination in employment. Adherence to Section 3 Policy is required for contracts and subcontracts for construction. Contractors/subcontractors debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from federal assistance programs may not undertake activities under this project. Section 3, Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and Historically Underutilized Business firms are encouraged to submit bids.
