Falls County is advertising for sealed proposals from contractors for a turnkey project to modernize the elevator at the Falls County Courthouse in Marlin, Texas. The project consists of, but is not limited to, replacing and updating necessary equipment. Proposals must be submitted as one original and four copies to the Falls County Judge, with all sealed proposals clearly marked on the outer envelope: RFP Elevator Modernization - Turnkey. Submission requirements, instructions, scope of work, specifications and plans may be obtained from the Falls County Judge's office. Offerors may submit a proposal bond by an acceptable surety in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal in excess of $100,000.00, but a proposal bond is not required. The successful Offeror must be able to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas or otherwise acceptable to the Owner, within thirty days from the contract date and before any commencement of work. The County reserves the right to reject or waive any and all irregularities or informalities in the proposal. All contractors/subcontractors who are debarred, suspended, or otherwise ineligible for participation may not undertake any activity under this project. Disadvantaged businesses, including Section 3 Residents, Minority, Small, Women, Labor Surplus Area Firms, and HUBs are encouraged to submit proposals.
