Slade Middle School Locker Painting Inquiries or Questions Due by October 20, 2025 to Smedley@csdnb.org Start of Work: April 10, 2026 3pm - Completion of Work: April 18, 2026 The Consolidated School District of New Britain seeks to have the lockers at Slade Middle School Electrostatically painted. The project includes cleaning, prep work and painting of 1700 lockers. Work conducted for this project shall follow trade standards for Electrostatic painting and in general shall be conducted consistent with trade standards as defined in local or state building codes. A. Preparation Work a. Mask all handles, number plates and surface areas before painting b. Protect walls, floors and ceilings where necessary from overspray c. Lightly sand all surfaces B. Electrostatic painting ( epoxy paint ) of 1700 lockers a. Paint all exterior surfaces, door edges, and all trim. i. High performance two-part epoxy paint 1. Semi-Gloss, Smooth, non-textured 2 mil finish. 2. Color: TBD The District reserves the rights to accept all or any part of a proposal, reject all proposals, and waive any informalities or non-material deficiencies in a proposal. The District also reserves the right, if applicable, to award the purchase of individual items under this RFQ to any combination of separate proposals or proposers.
