The project consists of placing 6" thick concrete ditch plating for approximately 350 feet of an existing earth-lined ditch section, replacing 150 feet of 48-inch diameter corrugated metal pipe with 48-inch diameter ADS, N-12 pipe, installing a concrete weir, excavation, backfilling, and removal of excess materials. The project is located at the south end of Doyle Drive near the Sea Breeze RV Park in Portland, Texas. Bidders must submit a certified check or bank draft payable to the San Patricio County Drainage District, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent of the total Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a Contract within thirty days after Notice of Award of Contract. Bids may be held for a period not exceeding thirty days for review and evaluation. The successful Bidder must ensure that employees and applicants are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The contract is contingent upon the availability of funds. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informalities, to award the project to the best responsible Bidder, and to make an award based on the total of the Base Bid plus the Additive Bid. If the lowest total bid exceeds available funds, it may reject all Proposals, award only the Base Bid, or award a combination of Base Bid and Additive Bid Items as deemed feasible.
