Sealed bids for the Sewer, Water and Pavement Replacement Project for Westmoor Road, Orchard Grove Avenue and Glendale Drive Contractors shall be required to pay prevailing wages on this contract in accordance with Sections 4115.03-4115.06 of the Ohio Revised Code. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of either a Bond in an amount equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the total bid drawn in favor of the City of Rocky River, or a consent of surety together with a certified or cashier's check or letter of credit on a solvent bank in Cuyahoga County made payable to the City of Rocky River in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as prescribed in Ohio Revised Code Section 153.54. Each proposal must contain the full name of party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. Equal Opportunity Employer SCOPE OF WORK The work contemplated under this contract on WESTMOOR ROAD (from Hilliard Boulevard to Orchard Grove Avenue) and ORCHARD GROVE AVENUE (from Westmoor Road to Northview Road) consists of the following: o The removal of the existing 6" water main and replacement with a proposed 8" water main. Generally, the water main work to be performed includes the removal of existing water main, installation of new water main, removal and replacement of water service connections, removal and replacement of hydrants, adjustments to existing line valves, trench repairs and restoration of any areas disturbed by construction activities. o The removal, installation, and improvement of the sanitary and storm sewers. Generally, the sewer work to be performed includes the removal of existing sewer mains, installation of new sewer mains, removal and installation of sewer manholes and catch basins, adjustments to existing sewer manholes and catch basins, removal and replacement of sewer laterals, trench repairs and restoration of any areas disturbed by construction activities.The full depth removal & replacement of pavement, removal and replacement of drive aprons, removal and replacement of curb ramps and sidewalks, installation of asphalt concrete intermediate and surface courses, and the painting of pavement markings. The work contemplated under GLENDALE DRIVE (from Westmoor Road to cul-de-sac) consists of the following: o Pavement planing, installation of asphalt concrete intermediate and surface courses, single chip seal, curb repairs, removal and replacement of drive aprons, and removal and replacement of sidewalks. The work contemplated shall also include the furnishing of all labor, tools, equipment, materials and supplies for such other work as is herein described and in accordance with any contract drawing.
