Renovation of an educational facility in Fenton, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Fenton Area Public Schools is soliciting firm prime contractor bids for the labor, materials, equipment, and all other services necessary to complete canopy renovations at North Road, State Road, and Tomek-Eastern Elementary within the district. Bidders are required to submit sealed proposals, marked with their company name and the proposal being bid. Proposals must use forms provided by the construction manager and be completed in full, including the Familial Disclosure Statement and a notarized Affidavit of Compliance to the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. For proposals exceeding $31,321.00, a bid bond from a U.S. Treasury listed surety company or a cashier's check of at least 5% of the proposal total is required. Proposals must remain firm for sixty (60) days. Successful bidders with proposals of $50,000 or more must provide a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of their bid; this bond cost should be included in the proposal. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities therein. Should a bidder find discrepancies or ambiguities in, or omissions from the Contract Documents, or should it be in doubt as to their true meaning, it shall notify the Architect or C.M. at once, or in any case not less than seven (7) days before the proposal due date.
