Renovation of an educational facility in Fenton, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Sealed bids are requested for "Asbestos Abatement at WOW/Ellen Street Campus Prior to Renovations." The work includes the removal and disposal of all asbestos thermal system insulation, asbestos window glazing, asbestos fire doors and associated frames, asbestos door caulk, asbestos vibration dampener, and exterior asbestos window caulk with associated window systems. All bids must be accompanied by sworn statements disclosing any familial relationship with members of the Board of Education or the Superintendent, and certifying the bidder is not an Iran linked business. Bids not including these sworn and notarized statements will not be accepted. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities or irregularities in the best interest of the school district. This project summary provides a summary of the asbestos-containing materials and non-asbestos-containing materials which will be removed as part of the bid. The scope of work, project requirements and project schedule are provided in the specification documents. The Contractor is encouraged to review all aspects of the scope-of work when preparing the bid and is instructed not to use this summary when preparing this bid. [ABATEMENT] _ Project Group WOW-01 - "Interior and Exterior" The first and only project for abatement at WOW/Ellen Street Campus includes the removal and disposal of all asbestos interior door caulk, all asbestos window glazing, all asbestos floor tile, all asbestos thermal system insulation materials, including all asbestos straight pipe insulation with associated pipe fittings, all asbestos pipe fitting insulation on fiberglass lines and all asbestos vibration dampener materials, all asbestos tagged fire doors and associated frames, all exterior asbestos window caulk and associated window systems from the two-story section of the building scheduled for demolition. The project will include, but is not limited to, the entire interior and exterior of the two-story section of the building. This project at WOW/Ellen Street Campus will involve multiple regulated areas and negative pressure enclosures to remove the asbestos materials using Class I and Class II removal procedures. The project will begin on Monday, April 20, 2026, and will be complete with all abatement activities, including tear down activities, by the end of the workday on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The project schedule allows for a total of twenty four (24) workdays (Monday-Saturday, Monday-Saturday, Monday-Saturday, Monday-Saturday) to complete the project.
