The City of Lake Worth Beach is seeking bids from responsible and experienced contractors to install underground electrical conduits and pull cables on an as-needed basis. Contractors must demonstrate expertise in open trenching and directional boring for conduit sizes ranging from 2 inches to 8 inches in diameter, supply materials such as PVC and flexible conduits, manage traffic control, and restore work sites. Contractors must also meet minimum qualification requirements in experience, equipment availability, personnel qualifications, and safety records to be considered. Pre-Bid Conference. There will be no pre-bid conference for this project. Bids must be placed in a sealed envelope marked with the bid number, title, date, and hour, and delivered or mailed to the specified address by the deadline. Bids will not be accepted by email, telephone, telegram, fax, or any other address except as specified. Bidders are responsible for ensuring their bid is received and stamped by office personnel by the indicated deadline. Courier deliveries must not require a signature. Scope of Work The contractor will: o Install 2", 3", 4", 6", and 8" PVC conduits using open trenching, directional boring (HDD), or a combination, in urban, suburban, or roadside settings (e.g., rights-of-way, easements). o Supply and install Schedule 40 or 80 PVC and flexible conduits as specified in work orders and steel portions where necessary o Pull utility-provided cables through conduits (no termination or splicing) using proper utility rated lubrication per manufacturer or industry standards o Provide daytime Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) per Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards. o Restore sites to match existing conditions (e.g., sod, asphalt, concrete, gravel). o Complete tasks per agreed schedules. o Coordinate with Florida 811 for utility locates and comply with safety protocols. o Provide GPR, GPS, or other locating means per job based on need. o Provide permit maintenance and assistance where and when needed such as railroad crossings or FDOT situations. o Provide concrete encasements where required by design or City in trench applications. o Place splice boxes, pull boxes, and/or manholes where necessary per designs or City request.
