The project is the Seawall and Drainage Improvement Project located at Eden Place at 16th Avenue in the City of Lake Worth Beach. Bids are solicited from responsible and experienced contractors for the completion of these improvements. Bidders must have a Bidding System Vendor account, be registered as a Plan Taker for the opportunity, and ensure their bid is received at the designated office address by the deadline. Bids must be delivered in sealed envelopes marked with the bid number, title, date, and the hour they are scheduled to be received. Bids submitted through email, telephone, telegram, facsimile, or to any city address other than the designated one will not be accepted. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting followed by a site visit is scheduled, and while participation is highly encouraged, no questions will be addressed at that meeting. All questions must be submitted in writing before the indicated deadline. Bids must be accompanied by a bid security not less than five percent of the total bid price, either as a certified/bank check or a bid bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Construction Performance Bond and a 100% Construction Payment Bond. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive non-material irregularities, re-advertise, or cancel the invitation if deemed in the City's best interest.
