Site work for an educational facility in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade educational facility.
East Greenwich Public Schools invites sealed bids for Eldredge School Landscaping Improvements. Specifications can be picked up at the East Greenwich School Department Facilities office in the basement of East Greenwich Town Hall. Bidders must deliver their bid to the same office no later than 2:00pm on the specified closing date. Electronic submissions are accepted shortly before the bid closing time and must include a read receipt. All bids must include the name of the bidder and bid amount, and must be clearly marked as “Eldredge Landscaping Repair.” The award will be given in writing to the lowest responsive bid. A responsive bid is one that complies with the specifications, promises performance by the required time and date, and projects costs within budget. Bids not conforming to these requirements will not be considered. Corrections or withdrawals of bids are permitted only according to regulations issued by the School Committee or their agent. If all bids exceed available funds, the School Committee may re-solicit bids under revised specifications or enter into competitive negotiations with the three lowest responsible and responsive bidders. A reasonable inquiry may be conducted to determine a bidder's responsibility, and failure to provide information may result in non-responsibility. The School Committee reserves the right to waive certain formalities or reject any or all bids. All questions or inquiries should be made to Robert J. Wilmarth, Director of Facilities, at 401-398-1241. The East Greenwich School Department does not assume any responsibility with regard to workers’ compensation and/or general liability. The successful bidder will also be required to comply with the Fair Labor Standard Act as it pertains in the State of Rhode Island.
