Site work, paving, asbestos abatement and renovation of a mixed-use development in Methuen, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development; for asbestos abatement for a multi-residential development; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Master Meter Compliance at State Aided Development: Oakland Avenue Elderly (667-1) 36 Oakland Avenue, Methuen, MA 01844 & Edgewood Avenue Elderly (667-2) 75 Edgewood Avenue, Methuen, MA 01844 The Project consists of but not limited to: At two sites with multiple apartment buildings, the replacement of electrical service, electrical transformers, building distribution panels and apartment loadcenters. At both sites, the cutting and patching of GWB interior partitions and the cutting/patching/paving of the exterior site to accommodate the electrical scope of work. At one site - 36 Oakland Avenue - asbestos abatement to accommodate the electrical scope. At one site - 75 Edgewood Avenue - (without asbestos abatement), electrical upgrades to existing kitchens. Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder's Update Statement. TRADES Plumbing sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates) and made payable to the METHUEN HOUSING AUTHORITY. Note: A bid deposit is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO). The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. The Contractor and all subcontractors agree to strive to achieve minority and women workforce participation. The Workforce Participation benchmark is set at 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities. The Workforce benchmark percentages are a statutory requirement under MGL c. 149 44A(2)(G). Request for waivers must be sent to EOHLC (Chad.Howard@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date.
