In case the successful bidder fails to enter into contract within ten (10) days after notification of acceptance of bid, said check or bond shall be forfeited to the School District. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in amounts equal to 100% of the contract price and shall be included in the contractor's bid amount. Surety shall be satisfactory to the School District.adford Elementary School Roof Refurbishment All questions will be received through the online solicitation until Tuesday, February 17, 2026, 12:00 PM. This project is subject to prevailing wage. The School Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids for any or no reason, to waive informalities and irregularities, and to make or not make awards in the best interest of the West Chester Area School District. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following list of items as identified below and in the enclosed drawings. A. The project consists of installing a 115-mil thick white fabric backed, PVC Adhered Roofing System over the existing Granulated Modified roof. 1. Included in the scope is to replace up to 15% of the roof area insulation, cover board, and roof membrane replacement. Areas to be removed will be decided after the pre-construction roof scan. 2. Bidders must be manufacturer's approved installers. Submit a letter of certification from the manufacturer which certifies the roofing contractor is authorized to install the manufacturer's roofing system. B. Work shall include but not limited to; any and all demolition and removal of material, dumpsters, insulation, cover boards, cant strips, adhesives, walk pads, flashings, raising of roof curbs (if necessary), caulk, copings, coatings, etc to provide a complete and warrantied system. C. Included in the scope of work is a pre-construction and post construction roof scan. A copy of each scan will be provided to the owner. D. Final payment will not be made until the post construction scan is completed and any remediation work is completed. E. All material shall be asbestos free. F. Provide 25-yr manufacturer warranty for each area of roof included in this project scope of work. G. A 12-month contractor warranty shall be supplied for each roof section from the date of substantial completion. H. Provide all labor and materials necessary for a complete and watertight installation ready for solar panel installation. 1. Upon completion of the installed work, submit copies of the manufacturer's final inspection to the Owner prior to the issuance of the manufacturer's warranty.
