The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following 1. The project at Sarah Starkweather Elementary School involves significant demolition, additions, and renovations. The existing building will undergo comprehensive multiple phase interior renovations. This includes the demolition of existing partitions, doors, casework, windows, ceilings, roofs, and other building elements; construction of new interior partitions and ceilings, installation of new doors, hardware, flooring, paint, casework, and ceilings. There will be three new building additions, including classroom spaces, kitchen spaces, and administrative spaces. All questions will be received through the PennBid solicitation until Friday, October 20, 2025, at 5:00 PM. The project involves additions and renovations at Sarah Starkweather Elementary School in West Chester, PA, and includes the following contracts: General Construction, Plumbing Construction, Mechanical Construction, Electrical Construction, Roofing Construction, and Sprinkler Construction. Sealed bids must be submitted online and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to 10% of the bid amount, a Non-Collusion Affidavit, Contractor's Qualification Statement, and Bid Security in accordance with the Bid Documents. Bids must remain valid for 60 days after opening. Pennsylvania prevailing minimum wage rates apply. The successful bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract price.
