Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Edison, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 3,400-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

The scope includes, but is not limited to, the following components: A. Playground Structures: Playtopia PlayMax Playground Structure (VM-400509), Playtopia ValuMax Playground Structure (PT-300490), and a 3-Bay Arch Post Swing Frame with Belt and ADA Swing Seats. B. Surfacing Options (Bidders must propose one or both): Bonded Rubber Surfacing (3,400 sq. ft., ASTM F1292 standards, available in multiple colors, seamless, anti-fatigue, shock-absorbing), or Rubber Nugget Playground Mulch (installed at 8" depth, ADA-compliant, IPEMA certification). C. Playground Borders: Install APS Plastic Playground Borders, 8" height (black or green), with patented surfacing guide (US Patent #D716,113), all stakes, hardware, and ADA half-ramp transitions included. D. Installation: Site preparation, excavation grading, and installation of all listed equipment, surfacing, and borders; contractor responsible for debris removal, site cleanup, and verification of field dimensions before installation. E. Freight and Delivery: All freight, delivery, and staging costs must be included in the proposal. Each proposal must include: company profile (background, qualifications, references), detailed cost proposal (itemized pricing for equipment, surfacing, installation, freight, etc.), warranty information (minimum 10-year limited warranty for borders, manufacturer warranties for play structures), project schedule (estimated delivery and installation timeline), proof of insurance general liability and workers' compensation), and acknowledgment of tax-exempt status for Calhoun County Schools (certificate to be provided upon award). Proposals will be evaluated on compliance with specifications, total cost and value, project timeline and delivery, warranty and maintenance terms, references, and prior experience. Prices must remain firm for 30 days after the submission deadline. Site conditions such as terrain, drainage, and existing structures must be evaluated before bidding. The contractor is responsible for identifying underground utilities and any damage to landscaping or hard surfaces caused by equipment. Any unforeseen site conditions must be reported immediately with proposed cost adjustments. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive any irregularities. The contractor is not liable for consequential or incidental damages beyond the agreement scope.
