The work consists of trimming approximately 817 parkway trees at various locations throughout the Village in accordance with specifications established by the Department of Public Works. Bidders must provide evidence of professional experience and the ability to meet performance requirements as set forth in the specifications. All bids must be accompanied by a bank cashier’s check, bank draft, certified check, or bidder’s bond made payable to the Village of Carol Stream for not less than five percent of the total bid for the first year. The bid security will be forfeited if the bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract after their bid is accepted. Bid prices shall not include the cost of Illinois State, municipal, or county taxes. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
