Renovation of an industrial development in Santa Cruz, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade industrial development.

**As of December 09, 2025 project has been canceled. As of this time it is unknown if when project will rebid. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of the existing cooling tower CT-1, including the heat exchanger, pumps, strainers/filters, piping, valves, controls/instrumentation, new concrete supports, and related retrofit modifications required to achieve a fully integrated, reliable, energy efficient, and water conserving Campus Cooling Water System. All equipment is to be located on outdoor concrete pads, with no conditioned enclosures required. Provisions are being provided for a temporary condenser water supply and return bypass system to facilitate keeping cooling tower 3 (CT-3) functional during the demolition and construction of cooling tower 1 (CT-1). Bidders must attend a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Job Walk in its entirety to be eligible to submit a bid. Sealed bids are to be received electronically via the designated plan room website. Bidders may be required to submit qualifications with their bids. The successful bidder must have a current and active California contractor's license (A General Engineering Contractor or B General Building Contractor). Bidders and their subcontractors must comply with nondiscrimination requirements and prevailing wage laws. No contractor or subcontractor may participate unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful bidder must pay no less than the UC Fair Wage and comply with all applicable working condition requirements.
