The City of Santa Cruz is seeking qualified contractors to provide on-call paving services for asphalt and concrete repairs throughout the city and surrounding service areas. Work will be assigned on an as-needed basis and may include saw cutting, removal and disposal of existing pavement, subgrade preparation, base rock replacement, and paving with commercial-grade hot mix asphalt. Typical tasks also include cleaning and tacking edges with SS1 oil, ensuring proper compaction through appropriate lift placement, and restoring any road striping per City/County specifications. The goal is to maintain safe, functional roadways through timely, high-quality repairs performed in coordination with various City departments. The successful proposer shall furnish all tools, equipment, materials, tax, apparatus, facilities, labor, transportation, supervision, and management, not specifically provided by the City, to complete the work described. Proposers are required to provide thorough and comprehensive responses that clearly demonstrate their team’s approach to and consistency with these standards.
