The Town of North Elba, on behalf of Lake Placid Airport, is soliciting qualifications from engineering consultants for professional engineering, environmental, and planning services for public use airport development projects. Anticipated assignments include projects listed in the Capital Improvement Program, as well as similar projects that may arise during the term. All work must comply with Federal Aviation Administration and New York State DOT guidelines, with demonstrated experience required. The selected consultant will provide ongoing airport engineering, environmental planning, and aviation planning services throughout the selection period (2026-2030) and assist in overall program management and project development. Qualification statements will be evaluated based on relevant airport project experience, reputation, key personnel, project understanding, experience with FAA/NYSDOT policies, and ability to meet schedules or deadlines. Submittals must include firm details, office locations, references for similar airport projects, a list of airports served, resumes of proposed staff, and names of any subconsultants. Three copies of the submission are required. No contact with Town employees or representatives is permitted during the solicitation period. The solicitation fulfills requirements under FAA Advisory Circular 150/5100-14E for consultant services for airport grant projects.
