Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Riverside, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

**As of December 8th, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on December 11th 2026** DESCRIPTION OF WORK Note: Echelon paving is required for surface course paving performed after October 31 or if ambient temperatures are below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Project to start after new school building is completed and in use. Expected completion date of December 2025. The work for this project consists of the following items: Base Bid Test pit two (2) weeks ahead of mobilization to locate gas services, water services, and sanitary sewer laterals. Excavating the existing parking lot or cartway, grading and compacting. Replacing driveway apron as shown on plans. Installing 4" thick dense graded aggregate as directed. Installing 3" thick HMA 19M64 Base Course as shown on the plans. Installing new sidewalk as shown on the plans and where directed. Restoration of trench in roadway per project details. Replace existing curb as denoted on plan. Install lighting pole and connection to existing line. Installation of HDPE as shown on plans and where directed. Installing Type "B" Inlets with "ECO" heads, Type "A" Inlets and Bicycle-safe grates as shown on the plans. Installing 1 1/2" HMA 9.5M64 Surface Course. Resetting castings to proper grade as needed to complete the improvements shown on the plans. Installing thermoplastic line striping and markings as shown on the plans. STATEMENT OF WORK (Continued) Restoring disturbed vegetated/lawn areas. As a minimum, all lawns shall be restored with topsoil, fertilizer, seed, and mulch. Other materials shall be restored in-kind. 16. Providing all necessary traffic directors and traffic control in accordance with the MUTCD. Riverside Police Department must be contacted for any closure. The above description of work outlines the general items and distribution of work, and should not be construed as being all-inclusive The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in these Specifications. Question Deadline 11/10/2025 The Bidders are requested to submit, in accordance with N.J.S.A 18A:18A-18(b)(2), one Lump Sum Bid for all of the work and materials. Bidders and/or their Prime Subcontractors must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in the following categories, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26 et seq.: C008 - General Construction or C009 General Construction / Alterations and Additions. The Bidder and named Prime Subcontractors, defined as the listed in N.J.S.A 18A:18A-18, listed must be pre-qualified prior to the date that bids are received. Bids must be made on the standard Proposal form in the manner designated therein, providing one (1) original and one (1) copy, and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to Riverside Township Public School District, and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check drawn to the order of Riverside Township Public School District for ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said security need not be more than $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bond upon the award of contract. In accordance with P.L. 2021, c. 301 a contractor submitting the lowest bid for a contract that is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act, if that bid is 10 percent or more lower than the next lowest bid, to certify to the public body that the prevailing wage rates required by the Act shall be paid. The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders, who, in the judgment of the Township of Riverside makes the most advantageous bid and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law. Doc Notes: Specifications and forms of bid for the proposed work prepared by Pennoni Associates, Inc. and approved by the Riverside Township Public School District are available at the office of the Engineer at 515 Grove Street, Suite 1B, Haddon Heights, New Jersey 08035, and may be inspected by prospective bidders during regular business hours (9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday).
