Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
The County seeks qualifications from companies to work with the Parks & Recreation Department and County administrative staff to complete an interpretive signage package for the Lackawanna County Coal Mine. The selected design consultant will be responsible for preparing design and development plans to update the existing, worn, and mismatched signage at the Coal Mine Tour Complex in McDade Park. The objectives are to unify the space, improve visitor safety and clarity, and enhance historical interpretation and education through comprehensive signage. The new signage should include, at a minimum, improved interpretive, directional, and safety information for visitors, and will highlight critical buildings, unique features, artifacts, significant historical events, and stories of coal mining in the Lackawanna Valley. Proposals must be sealed, marked with the project name, and include all required information described. The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to select the proposal in its best interest.
