Furnish all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances, and supervision necessary to repair and expand airfield pavements using conventional design and construction methods. The work includes removal of existing substandard concrete and asphalt pavements; installation of new base course and new Portland cement concrete pavement; storm water drainage improvements; relocation of taxiway edge lights; replacement of airfield signage; and repainting of taxiway lines for base-assigned and transient aircraft. All new pavements shall be compatible with applicable Department of Defense, Air Force, and installation design standards and criteria, with local materials and construction techniques utilized where cost effective. The project is anticipated to be performed in two stages consisting of a pre-construction phase for submittals, testing, mix designs, and permitting, followed by a construction phase upon issuance of a separate notice to proceed. Optional work includes replacement of all signs and lights and resealing of the Ready Alert Apron.
