Sealed Bids are requested on a lump sum basis for the Southern Lehigh Middle School Boiler Replacement and the Southern Lehigh High School Boiler Replacement & HVAC Upgrades, in separate contract categories: General Construction, HVAC Construction, and Electrical Construction. Bidders may submit combined bids for the projects in the specified contract areas. A Mandatory Pre-bid Conference is required for prospective bidders. Bids must be submitted in printed form, mailed or delivered to the Owner, and received by the stated deadline. Oral, telephonic, facsimile, email, or telegraphic bids will not be accepted. Each bid must include a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond from an approved Surety Company for not less than 10% of the bid amount, made payable to Southern Lehigh School District. All work is considered a public works project and is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the Federal Davis Bacon Act. Prevailing minimum wage rates must be paid in the performance of the work. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof and may waive any irregularities, mistakes, omissions, or informalities as it sees fit.
