Demolition for a swimming pool in Sycamore, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of an outdoor swimming pool.
Proposals are being accepted for the Sycamore Park District Pool Demolition project in the City of Sycamore, Illinois. The work includes demolition of the pools, associated concrete pads, paving, equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems as indicated and specified. The project will also include filling the holes left by the demolition with proper materials. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total proposal amount. Construction monies will be drawn from local funds. The successful contractor will be paid on a monthly basis according to the approved estimate of completed work. Contractors are strongly urged to employ local subcontractors, suppliers, and trades as much as possible. Labor rates must comply with the General Prevailing Rate of Wages for the City of Sycamore, DeKalb County, Illinois. The Sycamore Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any information therein, or accept any proposal considered in the district's best interest. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening without written consent from the Sycamore Park District for a period of forty-five days after the scheduled bid opening.
