Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Lompoc, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade theater / auditorium.
The work includes providing and furnishing all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and any additional Professional Engineering Services necessary for installation, on-site construction, along with on-site utilities, improvements, and structural reinforcement. The work specifically consists of structural strengthening of the roof framing for both the Auditorium and Fly Tower, complete replacement of the existing single-ply roofing system over the Auditorium and Fly Tower, replacement of the existing smoke hatches over the Fly Tower, replacement of the existing roof access hatch, installation of new conductor heads on both roofs, structural strengthening of the second-floor framing within the existing Theatre Building, replacement of deteriorated roof components over the Auditorium roof (including sheathing and roof joists within 8 feet of the interior face of the concrete walls), and upsizing replaced roof joists according to the Structural Engineers drawings and specifications. All improvements must follow the contract documents and guidance from the structural engineer. Containment during construction must comply with the City of Lompoc Municipal Code infection control policies and procedures, with an infection control submittal required from the awarded contractor. Work shall be completed during normal working hours. Bids must conform to the provided Plans, Specifications, and other Documents. Bidders must examine the site and all contract documents, and are to provide all labor, materials, supervision, transportation, tools, equipment, services, and facilities necessary for the completion of the described work in strict conformity with the documents. Prime Contractor must complete the work promptly and in a workmanlike manner within the specified calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, subject to stipulated liquidated damages for delay. Bidders must submit a list of subcontractors for any portion of the work exceeding 0.5% of the bid sum, and agree to furnish necessary bonds and insurance certificates within ten days of Notice of Award.
