Demolition, site work, remodeling, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the remodel of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

This project objective is the consolidation and modernization of the two existing schools (APM and PV) into a single, comprehensive and reimagined Arthur & Polly Mays (K-12) Conservatory of the Arts magnet facility. This will result in a modern, sustainable, state-of-the-art campus designed to support advanced visual and performing arts programs, including a new performance auditorium and educational component, all within a reduced portion of land. The project must be designed, phased, coordinated and constructed to maximize safety and minimize disruption to the existing, occupied campus. All design and construction shall be in compliance with State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF), the Florida Building Code, National Fire Protection Association, Florida Fire Prevention Code (life safety), barrier-free design guidelines, Florida Statutes (F.S.) and M-DCPS Design Standards and Board Policies. Projects shall be designed and constructed to meet one of the approved nationally recognized high-performance green building rating systems approved by the Department of Management Services, such as the United States Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), the Green Building Initiatives Green Globes rating system, the Florida Green Building Coalition Standards, and the International Green Construction Code. Green/Sustainable/High performance design, passive design elements and low-energy usage feature shall be incorporated in the design and construction of the new facility. The successful CMR will be commissioned to provide pre-construction services during all phases of the A/Es design services.
