The project consists of water system improvements, including the installation of approximately 2,900 linear feet of 12-inch C-900 PVC water line and appurtenances within the existing right-of-way of Cook Street, connecting to the existing 10-inch ductile iron water line at Ty Cobb Street. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds must be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating and a financial strength of at least five times the contract price. Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price, are required of the successful bidder. Only bidders who obtain documents from the Issuing Office will be allowed to submit bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. This is a Section 3 Covered Contract, and Section 3 Business Concerns are encouraged to apply. The bidder must comply with applicable federal requirements, including non-discrimination and wage acts, and with the Buy America Clause, meaning all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials must be produced in the United States. A Utility Contractor (UC) License is required for this project, and license numbers must be affixed on the outside of the bid envelope.
