As of December 22, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Bids are invited for Drainage Improvements consisting of brush clearing and concrete rip rap. BRUSH REMOVAL , CONCRETE RIPRAP (5.5") (CLASS B CONCRETE) Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are available at Kleberg County Courthouse. Copies may be obtained with a $50.00 deposit per set, refundable if documents are returned in good condition within 10 days of the bid opening. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety must be submitted with each bid for contracts exceeding $100,000. Alternatively, a certified check, bank draft payable to Kleberg County, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project is financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. The federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rates, as issued by the Department of Labor and included in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. The successful bidder must ensure non-discrimination in employment practices and adhere to the Kleberg County Section 3 Policy. All contractors and subcontractors must not be suspended or debarred before any contract award. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Veteran-Owned Businesses, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. Kleberg County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for up to 90 days from the date of bid opening for review and investigation of the bidder's qualifications prior to contract award. MBE (44.2%), WBE (6.9%)
