The project involves the labor, material, supervision, equipment, tools, and all the incidentals required for the roof replacement at the Courts of Las Palomas. Prospective bidders must obtain and read the Instructions to Bidders, Contract Documents, and Detailed Specifications. All successful bidders are required to comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, amended 1969, as amended by Section 118 of Title 1, Community Development and Housing Act of 1974. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Kingsville Affordable Housing in U.S. Government bonds or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish and pay for a Performance and Payment Bond and insurance for personal injury, property liability, workmen's compensation, and builder's risk. A contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder not on HUD's list of ineligible contractors, provided the bid is reasonable, and in the best interest of the Kingsville Affordable Housing, and the bidder has complied with all applicable Laws. The Kingsville Affordable Housing reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any formality in bids wherever it is in the best interest of the Kingsville Affordable Housing. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Kingsville Affordable Housing.
