Demolition, site work, paving, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 10,000-square-foot fire / police facility; municipal facility; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for the addition of a 1,000-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility.
Plans call to demolish and reconstruct a standalone police department and improve Wyomissing’s existing administrative offices on Reading Boulevard. The standalone police department will be built on existing property, and a covered parking lot will be built adjacent to the police station. Township offices will get a 1,000-square-foot addition for receptions, offices, and council chambers. This project is part of the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants. As of July 23, 2026, this project is in the planning phase. The RACP funding was awarded in July 2026. Information regarding an architect or a general contractor has not been disclosed.
